Katarina is the Founding Attorney of a Zoning & Land Use Law Firm serving Greater Chicago called Birchwood Law LLC. Katarina enjoys assisting clients through the entitlement phase of development, bringing efficiency and predictability to the process. She has previously worked with national companies, developers, and entrepreneurs on mixed-use, residential, commercial and industrial development projects, including office buildings, warehousing facilities, shopping centers, subdivisions and multi-family residential.
Katarina helps clients through complex real estate processes, including annexations, planned developments, zoning amendments, special uses, variations, subdivision of land, right-of-way vacations, dedication of land, site plan approvals, municipal licensing, and zoning administrative appeals.
Additionally, leaning in on her prior experience as a public nuisance prosecutor, Katarina assists clients with code violation matters, pre-litigation and during litigation. With a unique understanding of the public and private sector perspectives, Katarina strives to protect clients’ property interests by working to resolve code issues in an efficient and cost-effective manner.
