Kristen attended the University of Illinois and received a B.S. in Journalism. She earned her J.D. with high honors from Chicago-Kent College of Law and was an editor of the Law Review. After graduation, Kris was a law clerk for the Honorable Rudy Lozano, Federal District Judge for Northern District of Indiana. She is a Past President of the West Northfield School District 31 Board of Education, served on the board for eight years, and was also the President of the West Northfield School District 31 Education Foundation. She is a member of the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, the Chicago District Golf Association, the Exclusive Professional Women’s Networking Group, North Shore Law, and the Northbrook Chamber of Commerce. Her legal volunteer work includes providing free legal services for the Lawyers for the Creative Arts and the Amicus Poloniae Legal Clinic, which is a legal clinic primarily for the Chicago Polish community. Kris also serves on the Northbrook Zoning Board of Appeals. She was selected by Thomson Reuters as a 2019 and 2020 Super Lawyer and selected as an Illinois Super Lawyer for 2021. She has assisted with the editing of two books, Not Dead Yet, Tie Up Loose Ends While You Can Still Make a Knot, by Eric G. Matlin and the Best Dating Advice I Ever Got 2, by Dr. Ali Binazir. She is a licensed Real Estate Managing Broker.
