On March 15, 2013, major changes to patent laws took effect. Filing can be less expensive, but must be done quickly. It is no longer enough to prove you were the first to invent. First to file now wins. Getting good advice early is critical to protecting your idea. Consult with a qualified patent attorney or agent right away.
